It was about 10:45 and I was on my way to my second date of the evening..... I was actually running hella late, because my first date ran long! ;O) Anyway, the plan was to meet up at a local bar (which I later found out that he owned).... But we'll get into that in just a bit. Soooooo anyway, when I saw his profile online, I instantly thought that he sounded fun. He has experienced a life, some can only dream of! From traveling, to business, to success, so I figured, why not meet up with him.....
HERE IS WHERE THE STORY GETS INTERESTING!!!! As I said, I was running late, so by the time I got there, he was sitting at the bar outside, and had already ordered us drinks. (whiskey and coke, for anybody wondering what I drink!) Anyway when I approached him, he hopped up to greet me, and all of a sudden, his profile height of 6'3" had shrank down to about 5'10" at best! Now being the polite southern girl that I am, I did not make mention of this obvious discrepancy..... Because, lets face it.... I'm not really 125lbs either! (I weighed this morning and I was 131), so what's a little white lie between friends! lol!
Our conversation started off a little shaky, but quickly softened up after we both slammed the drinks in front of us, and the very next ones the bartender brought over. It was then that she (the bartender), said: "Can i get you anything else boss?" To which I responded, "WAIT, WHAT... YOU OWN THIS BAR?!?!" (Shout out to all my TX Tech fans.... Shannon I know where we can drink for FREE on our girls night outs from now on!) Turns out he did own it, and a few others..... Ummmm, hello retirement! lol!! We stayed until after closing and I got a little private lesson on how to make the prefect Moscow Mule (my second FAV drink)! In the end, I was right about him..... He is an amazing guy and has lived an amazing life!! What started out a little rocky, ended up pretty dang great! The date wrapped up about 4:AM, and I'm seeing him again this Sunday ;O)
