Men are like waffles.... Women are like spaghetti

Day one, Date one:

I hadn't been online for more than 30mins and i found myself accepting a date with a guy that is 33, a teacher/coach, and he goes to my church..... Can someone say irony!! lol!!

 We agreed to meet at 7:00 at a trendy coffee shop with live music and homemade desserts..... (Well that was the plan anyway!) I arrived at 6:48, and to my surprise, not only were they closed for the evening, but apparently they had been closed for business for the past 4months!! After about a million texts between, (lets just call him "Brad"), and I , we decided that our plan b would just be to meet at the closest Starbucks. "Brad" was, not 5, not 10, but 13mins late!!! But between you and me, when he walked in the door and I saw how handsome he was in person (his pictures do not do him justice!), and the beautiful bouquet of flowers he brought me.... The tardiness was forgiven and forgotten! (I'm such a sucker for a handsome man that not only smells good but is holding flowers too!) lol! 

Our conversation came organically and we discussed everything from our faith in god, to politics, to family, music, movies, and everything in between! One of the highlights of the evening was definitely our discussion about the importance of communication between a man and a woman, and how if a man is to love his wife as Christ loved the church, then both people should never withhold anything from each other and discuss and resolve everything!!  That then lead to how men are like waffles, where they can see everything independently and compartmentalize everything and isolate problems and solutions on a case by case basis! Women on the other hand are like spaghetti.... where everything is intertwined with one leading to another an another and overlapping and all connected with emotion sauce (tears! lol), and how it can be hard for us to separate feelings from pure facts, because to us, our feelings can be just as valid as facts!!.... It was amazing to exchange ideas and truly be able to see each-others perspective and come to a common ground of understanding!! Before I knew it, it was 10:00, and time to wrap it up for the night..... (I mean, I couldn't stay all night!! I had another date to get ready for!) The date ended with a very sweet kiss on my hand..... We made plans to see each other again and I'm looking forward to it ;O)
